Joan Glackin

is a comedian, actor, and podcaster based in Brooklyn. She studied acting at NYU Tisch School of the Arts where she earned a B.F.A. in Drama. She has appeared in theatrical productions all over New York, including the New York premiere of Blue Stockings, directed by Tony Nominee Michele Shay. She also starred in the Feature Film "Silence and Darkness" (Alarm Pictures), which was awarded Best Feature Film at the 2019 D.C. Independent Film Festival and is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Most recently she played the female lead in the T.V. series "Under Cover Comic," which is currently in post-production. She has also acted in several short films and web series, as well as writing, producing, and performing both live and digital sketch comedy.

Joan is a founding member of the all female sketch comedy group 'Just a Little Sketch,' which was featured on Funny or Die in the lead up to the 2016 election. In 2019 and 2020 she produced and hosted live shows with the political comedy group 'Down Ballot Comedy,' which raised money for various social and political causes. During the 2020 lockdown she hosted the remote interview show 'Quarantalk Show.’

In addition to hosting and producing comedy shows, Joan has appeared regularly at The Stand, Broadway Comedy Club, New York Comedy Club, The Lantern, and The Grisly Pear, among others. She has also performed at several comedy festivals, including opening for Alyssa Limperis at the 2020 Floodwater Comedy Festival, and was selected to perform at the 2020 Women in Comedy Festival with headliners Whitney Cummings and Fortune Feimster, but then, you know, 2020 happened.

Currently, Joan hosts the podcast True Crime Review Time, which takes a critical (and comedic) look at all the hottest (and most horrible) true crime documentaries. She has also been a guest on the Ridiculous People Podcast and the Eat Pray Judge Podcast, where she discussed what is unironically her favorite movie of all time, Scream.
